THE HISTORY OF RABBIT HOPPING

The sport of Rabbit Hopping first began in Sweden in the 1980's. It first began when a group of rabbit enthusiasts decided to develop a new sport based off of Horse Show Jumping. It was first brought to the US in 2001 and has since taken off tremendously. In 2013, the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) chartered the American Hopping Association for Rabbits and Cavies (AHARC) as the National Club for Rabbit Hopping and Cavy Performance Sports. 

Today the largest Rabbit Hopping Competition held in the US was at the 2017 Pennsylvania State Rabbit Breeders Association Convention (PaSRBA Convention) with a total entry of 139!
